Brand API for AI tools Call the brand before you generate.

The Brand Source API and MCP server are a brand API for AI tools: they give developers and generators the right logo, design tokens, tone and rules, pinned to a version.

MCP tools

An MCP server for brand: six tools, one brand.

Each tool reads from the same Brand Source your people use, so on-brand AI generation starts from the approved brand, not a guess.

Where the brand guidelines API fits.

The API reads from Brand Source, the digital brand guidelines platform, and output can be scored by Brand Check. Every file Brand1 delivers follows our AI and Content Credentials policy. Brand1, a brand and creative studio, builds the brand first; the API makes it callable.

FAQ

Brand API, answered

How do you make AI tools generate on-brand content?

Make AI tools generate on-brand content by giving them the brand as data before they generate. The Brand Source API and MCP server return the right logo, design tokens, tone of voice, required lines and format rules, pinned to a version. Brand Check then scores the output, and a person signs off anything that matters.

What is an MCP server for brand guidelines?

An MCP server for brand guidelines lets AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol read a brand directly. The Brand Source MCP server offers six read-only tools that return brand summaries, assets, tokens and rules. Changes arrive only as proposals for a person to approve, and every call is recorded in an audit log.

Is the Brand Source API available?

The Brand Source API and MCP server are in preview. Access comes with a Brand Source licence, and pilots start in March 2027. Endpoint names and the sign-in flow may change before release. Developers building with a client brand can request early access; cost is scope-dependent and covered on the price sheet.

Which design token formats does Brand Source export?

Brand Source exports design tokens in DTCG, the W3C Design Tokens Community Group format, and in CSS, Tailwind, iOS, Android and Figma formats. Tokens cover colour, type and spacing, and every export names the brand version it came from, so code, design files and AI tools stay in step with the brand.
