FAQ

Questions about the Journal

Where can I read about brand and AI rules?

The Brand1 Journal publishes short, plain-language pieces on brand strategy, AI production and the rules on AI-generated content, including AI labelling in advertising and C2PA Content Credentials. Every piece is free to read. The monthly Brand1 Review newsletter collects new pieces and rule changes in one email. Pieces are guidance from a brand and creative studio, not legal advice.

Who writes the Brand1 Journal?

The Brand1 Journal is written by the Brand1 studio: the strategists, designers and producers at Brand1, a brand and creative studio based in Chennai and working with clients worldwide. Pieces draw on the studio's own method and specimen projects, which are clearly labelled. AI tools may help with research, but a person at the studio writes, checks and signs off every piece.

How often does Brand1 publish?

Brand1 publishes Journal pieces when there is something useful to say, rather than on a fixed schedule. New pieces, changes in the rules on AI-generated content and one specimen are collected once a month in the Brand1 Review. Subscribing takes a work email and an unticked consent box, and every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Are the Journal's specimen projects real clients?

No. Halden Group and the launch film are specimen projects that Brand1 made to show its method, and they are labelled as specimens wherever they appear. Client zero is Brand1's own brand, built and run with the same tools offered to clients. The Journal does not name clients, publish testimonials or quote statistics it cannot source.

Can I use a Journal piece in a board pack?

Yes. Journal pieces are written to be read by leadership teams, and short quotes with a link back to the original piece are welcome. For a deeper session, Brand1 runs board briefings and brand workshops through its Academy. For a view of your own brand, start with the free Brand Health Scan, which takes about one week.
