FAQ

The brand strategy sprint, answered

What is a brand sprint?

A brand sprint is a short, intensive workshop in which a leadership team agrees the foundations of its brand. Brand1's Brand Foundations Sprint runs for 5 days: two days listening to leaders, customers and competitors, two days defining purpose, values, positioning and personality, and a final day on which the leadership team signs off the brand on one page.

What do you get from a 5-day brand sprint?

You leave with your brand on one signed page: purpose, values, brand attributes, a brand prism and a positioning statement, plus the audit behind them. The top team also gets a brand literacy session, so everyone uses the same language. That page becomes the brief for everything after it, from naming and brand identity design to campaigns and the brand website.

Who should be in the room for a brand strategy sprint?

The people who can make the decisions: usually the founder or chief executive, the heads of marketing, sales, product and people, and anyone who owns the customer experience. Five to eight people works best. Brand1 brings a partner and a strategist, and runs the interviews and the audit before Day 1 so the week is spent deciding, not gathering.

Is the Sprint run in person or remotely?

Either. Most Sprints run in person at your offices, because decisions are faster when the leadership team is in one room. Brand1 also runs Sprints remotely across time zones, splitting the days into shorter sessions. The output is the same: a brand on one page, signed off by your leadership team at the end of the week.

How much does a brand sprint cost?

The cost depends on scope: the number of leaders interviewed, markets covered, and whether the Sprint is in person or remote. Brand1 does not publish prices on the website.
